Our founder Kesh spent years moving through yoga, pole, surf, and ballet in activewear that was almost entirely synthetic. Plastic-based fabric against skin, through heat and sweat, shedding microplastics into the body and into water with every wash.

Bamboo was the answer she landed on. It grows extraordinarily fast, requires no pesticides, and uses a fraction of the water conventional cotton demands. It doesn't shed persistent microplastics. And at the end of its life, it biodegrades.

Just as important: it feels like nothing else. Soft, breathable, and temperature-regulating. Built for sweat, salt, sun, and rest.

Conventional fabric dyeing is one of the most chemically intensive steps in textile production. Our colours come from plants grown or found across Bali, traditionally used in natural dyeing for generations.

We hand-dye in small batches using low-impact processes. No harsh chemicals, no heavy treatment. Each piece develops its colour organically. Every batch is slightly one of a kind.

We work with small, Indonesian women-owned workshops and produce in intentionally limited quantities. It means we can be present at every stage, from the fabric arriving to the final stitch. The people making iki iki are known to us, not anonymous.

Small batch also means less waste. We make what's needed, not excess stock that sits in a warehouse until it gets discarded. If something sells out, we'd rather wait and restock thoughtfully.

It takes longer. Things are sometimes out of stock. We think that's the right trade-off.

When we cut fabric to make our pieces, offcuts are left behind. Rather than discarding them, we use these scraps as our packaging. Each order wrapped in its own piece of leftover bamboo fabric.
